We are recruiting a Trading Manager position where you will work with Support Support Centre teams to develop range change plans which are fit for purpose, drive operational efficiencies and support the customer journey. You will also play an active role in post store investment activity ensuring stores implement changes right first time. This role demands an influential and engaging leader who can effectively collaborate with key stakeholders across the business and build engaging communications for stores.

This is a Monday-Friday role based in our Support Centre in Watford.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Represent Store Operations in all range change proposals.  Ensuring the plans are fit for purpose, driving operational efficiencies and supporting the customer journey.
  • Manage and maintain the Operations range review CPA to ensure the range change is implemented within the advised time-frames.
  • Engage the senior store operations team on any upcoming range changes or store implementation projects by informing them of the benefits (efficiencies/productivity/profit) and giving them an opportunity to feed into the plan. 
  • Coordinate with commercial, marketing and product supply to develop detailed and accurate content for all range change briefs which enables successful and efficient store implementation across the estate.
  • Ensure merchandising principles are always adhered to, maintaining Stay Safe guidelines and operational efficiencies throughout all range changes.
  • Provide accurate costs of store implementation (labour) to ensure that the range change is implemented within the advised time frame and it’s implemented right first time.
  • Review store implementation and share learnings and feedback with the wider business. 
  • Be the voice of the stores - elevating regular feedback across the Support Centre to ensure wider teams understand how activity or plans impact store teams.
  • Support additional trading activities which require implementation in-store within the Self Serve area.

What are we looking for:
  • 3 Years Retail experience
  • Project Management 
  • Retail Operations and or Store Trading experience within DIY/Trade sector
  • Proven influencing skills across all levels of business
  • Exceptional collaboration skills
  • Effective communication & listening skills
  • Team leadership skills
  • Coaching & development skills
  • Strong understanding of store environment
  • Good knowledge of Google applications
