We’re looking for a Senior Trading and Communications Manager to join us for a period of 10 months. You’ll make sure all operational communications are effective and can be implemented right first time and schedule all activity ensuring it’s achievable and can be delivered by store teams in a timely manner. You’ll be responsible for ensuring all promotional plans are fit for purpose, efficient for stores to implement and support the customer experience / journey.
What you’ll be doing:
Schedule all business activity and development of the capacity plan to ensure it allows for right first time implementation, highlighting pinch points to the Head of Operations Trading & Implementation and key stakeholders.
Represent Store Operations in all promotional planning meetings. Ensuring the plans are fit for purpose, drive operational efficiencies and support the customer journey.
Liaise and work with the communications team to ensure communications are effective, delivered on time and are efficient, allowing stores to implement right first time.
Work with the Communication & Engagement Team to create the communication plan for operational projects / activities (where required).
Ensure merchandising principles are always adhered to, maintaining Stay Safe guidelines and operational efficiencies throughout all promotional activity.
Review Store implementation and compliance to share learnings and feedback with the wider business.
Be the voice of the shops - elevating regular feedback across the Support Centre to ensure wider teams understand how activity or plans impact store teams.
Responsible for the management and personal development of the 2 direct reports. Including performance reviews, motivation and mentoring of the team.
What we’re looking for:
Ideally you’ll have at least 3 Years Retail experience and Project Management experience. Graduate level education is preferred but not essential. As well as this you’ll have:
Retail Operations and or Store Trading experience within DIY/Trade sector
Proven influencing skills across all levels of business
Exceptional collaboration skills
Effective communication & listening skills
Team leadership skills
Coaching & development skills
Strong understanding of store environment
Good knowledge of Google applications
Tenacious and self-starting
Strong planning & organisational skills
