Wickes are recruiting for a Workforce Planning and Costs Manager.

Role Purpose
The Workforce Planning & Costs Manager supports cost reduction initiatives and ensures effective cost management reporting across the business

What you’ll be doing:
  • Ensure the efficiency and profitability of the company through gatekeeping:
  • Utilise reporting and engagement with regional and store leadership to support effective and cost management 
  • Supports the wider Cost Team on reporting, project and initiative requirements
  • Builds and maintains reporting on a data visualiser platform
  • To support the engagement, education and coaching of store management teams by identifying training needs, updating process documentation and supporting L&D to deliver coaching sessions to reduce utility costs.
  • Support the Senior Cost, Workforce Planning & Profit Protection Manager to ensure key initiatives land effectively in store. Reporting on compliance and gathering feedback to share with wider business.
  • Acts as a point of contact alongside the Workforce Planning team for wage and cost budget and spends from Stores and Regional Leaders.
  • Deputises in the absence of the Senior Cost, Workforce Planning & Profit Protection Manager
  • Provides updates to Regional Leaders through visual or written presentations

What we’re looking for:
  • Knowledge of Excel and the building of complex worksheets
  • Ability to interpret data and provide recommendations.  
  • Proficient knowledge of Google Applications (Sheets, Slides)
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to challenge data integrity.
  • Good understanding of basic Google sheets formulas (V-lookup, Importrange)
  • Strong understanding of store operations.
  • Ability to work to deadlines.
  • Self starter.
  • Flexible
  • Adaptable.
  • Work at pace.
