Wickes is looking for a  New Stores and Refit Night Support Manager to work nationwide on our new store and refit projects. Working on a 4 on 4 off basis (generally 19.00-07.00) you’ll manage and implement our refit activity overnight in our new and refit stores. 

Although we try our best to place you on the projects closest to you,  this is a nationwide role attending sites wherever their location may be. We’ll accommodate you during this time comfortably and provide a generous evening meal allowance. You’ll also be provided with a car for travel. Refit activity typically last 8 weeks per store

As the Night Support Manager you’ll: 

• Ensure Health and Safety is placed as the highest priority at all times throughout the project

• Implement and execute project plans from start to finish, ensuring deadlines are met, escalating issues as necessary

• Be a point of contact for the refit manager and contractors (internal and external) throughout night

• Make the refit journey a great experience for both our colleagues and customers 

• Manage up to 8 external contractors 

What we’re looking for:

• Ideally experience in new stores or refit programmes 

• Ability to manage and coach external merchandisers and contractors

• Excellent communication skills 

• Good knowledge of IT systems

• Flexibility to adjust to changing plans as well as forward planning

• FLT Licence - counterbalance and reach 

• First Aid trained

• Understanding principles of merchandising and product ordering
