We are seeking a Finance Analyst to join our Commercial Finance team on a 6 month secondment. 

The purpose of the role will be to deliver financial analysis, reporting & ad-hoc financial support, primarily for Wickes' Marketing areas. 

The ideal candidate will be part way through the CIMA/ACCA qualification and looking to complete their professional studies.

Key responsibilities:
  • Management accounting for Marketing costs, including accruals & prepayments, budgeting, variance analysis and commentary.
  • Full ownership of the balance sheet reconciliations at month-end.
  • Supporting the finance business partnering function for our Marketing department. 
  • Risk and opportunities tracking for Marketing costs. Proactively looking forward to identify and manage financial risks and opportunities. 
  • Management accounting for gift cards, including posting of month-end journals and full ownership of the balance sheet reconciliations at month-end.
  • Reporting - ensuring the accuracy of reports and provide data to the Marketing department.
  • Full ownership of Marketing area of the P&L, including oversight of the Marketing PO log. 
  • Cross functional working with the FP&A team and other areas of Commercial finance to support the efficient working of the finance function.
