Exciting things are happening in Saffron Walden! We're opening a brand-new, small-format store and are looking for 20 Customer Service Assistants to help us bring it to life.
We have full time contracts available at 39 hours per week and also part-time positions available to give you that work-life balance, these include, 8 hours, 16 hours and 24hrs per week, these are all permanent positions.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a new team from day one, receive comprehensive training before opening, and play a key role in creating an exceptional shopping experience for our customers. Our experienced Store Manager is building a supportive, high-performing team, and we'd love you to be part of it.
Please note training/onboarding will be held in our Bishops Stortford store on Goodlife Park, Stansted Road, CM23 5PP
Shift Patterns:
Our store operates seven days a week, we have a variety of shifts including weekends. Typical shift patterns include:
- Early: 6:30am - 3pm
- Mid: 9am - 6pm
- Late: 11:30am - 8:30pm
The Role
No two days are the same. As a Customer Service Assistant, you'll help keep the store running smoothly while delivering outstanding customer service. You'll be involved in a variety of tasks, including:
- Welcoming and assisting customers
- Keeping shelves fully stocked and looking great
- Supporting with deliveries and replenishment
- Ensuring trolleys and baskets are available
- Helping maintain a clean, safe and organised store
- Operating the tills and providing a friendly checkout experience
- Whatever you're doing, your focus will always be on making every customer's visit easy, enjoyable and memorable.
About You
We're looking for friendly, reliable people who enjoy working as part of a team and take pride in delivering excellent customer service. You'll ideally have experience in a retail or customer-facing role, but just as importantly, you'll have:
- A positive, can-do attitude
- Great communication skills
- A willingness to learn
- A flexible approach to working in a fast-paced environment

Hourly rate:
- Age 21 and over: £12.71 per hour
- Age 18–20: £12.00 per hour
- Under 18: £8.82 per hour
