Ready to play a vital role in keeping our stores running smoothly and profitably? 

We're looking for a proactive and organised Cost Coordinator to join our Profit Protection team!

About the role…
Think of yourself as a key support system for our Profit Protection team. You'll be diving into our purchase ledger system (DIDOS) to make sure everything's running efficiently for our stores. That means tackling things like reducing discrepancies, chasing up credits, and even spotting ways we can make our processes smarter and simpler.

You'll also be a whiz with data, helping us understand our performance, track stock accuracy, and get a handle on costs like shrinkage and petty cash. Plus, you'll get to build great relationships with different teams across Wickes to keep everything aligned. If you're someone who likes to get things done, spot opportunities for improvement, and support a team that makes a real difference to our stores, this could be the perfect role for you!

About you…
We're seeking someone who enjoys finding solutions and has a knack for making processes more efficient. A good understanding of the retail environment would be helpful. A few years of relevant experience would be beneficial – especially in DIY or trade retail.

You'll need to be well-organised and able to manage your time effectively. Clear communication skills are important for explaining things to different teams. The ability to stay calm and think logically, even under pressure, will be valuable. Being able to interpret data to identify improvements is also key.

We're looking for someone who is proactive and can take ownership of their work. If you have experience presenting information and building strong working relationships, that's a plus.

Solid computer skills, particularly with Google applications, are necessary. Familiarity with Wickes store systems and purchase ledger would be advantageous.
